Quick read: essential cookies keep you signed in and process payments. Analytics is opt-in via the banner — off until you say yes. Marketing cookies aren’t running.
3. How to opt out
Use the cookie banner on first visit, or update preferences anytime in Settings → Privacy.
On your first visit you’ll see a cookie banner where you can pick Accept all, Essential only, or Customize. You can change your mind any time by going to Settings → Privacy → Cookie preferences. You can also delete the skillflirt:cookie-consent entry from your browser’s local storage to be re-prompted on the next page load.
4. Third parties
Clerk (auth) and Stripe (checkout). Both essential. Nothing else.
Two: Clerk sets the session cookie that keeps you signed in, and Stripe sets fraud-prevention cookies on the checkout page when you make a purchase. Both are essential. No Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no Hotjar. If we add anything new, this list gets updated and you’ll be re-prompted for consent.
5. Your cookie banner choice is what we follow
We respect your banner choice. Until you opt in to analytics, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics scripts load.
Browser Do Not Track (DNT) was never widely adopted as a standard, and we don’t read it. What we do honor is your choice in the cookie banner: until you opt in to analytics, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics scripts load on your session. Essential cookies (auth, payment) run regardless because the product can’t function without them.
